Right-hander Kumar Rocker struggled with his command Thursday afternoon at Globe Life Field in his first outing there with the Texas Rangers. He lasted only three innings, which probably rates as a disappointment, but it wasn’t all bad. Rocker allowed only two runs, one earned, and struck out five. He posted seven strikeouts in four innings last week in his MLB debut. He said afterward that he tried to not overthrow in an effort to find the strike zone, and it backfired. Meanwhile, the Rangers’ offense was held to two hits in a 4-0 loss that kept them from sweeping the Toronto Blue Jays.
