The National League Championship Series is underway, and Shohei Ohtani helped the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 9-0 rout of the New York Mets to open the best-of-7 NLCS. Ohtani went 2 for 4 with a walk after a sluggish division series after his first at-bat homer. Jack Flaherty pitched seven scoreless innings as the Dodgers extended their scoreless innings streak to 33, matching the MLB postseason record.
