Washington’s inbounds to Hardy wasn’t great, either. Hardy got the ball right at the baseline while being tightly guarded by Sheppard. Then, Nesmith slid over leaving Hardy no room to move, being trapped between two defenders and the baseline. I don’t know what play was being called, but Dinwiddie hardly moved on that inbounds and I think he’s the one I’d want bringing the ball up in that situation.

This boiled down to, as pointed out in the article, the Mavs lacking experienced ball handlers. Luka and Kyrie would have been able to get out of that situation and I think Exum would have been able to as well.

Every single game the Mavs win from here out is an unmitigated disaster and on par for this organization to try and win. This is not about the players, who are trying but the org has know better and try to position themselves for the future.
