Kumar Rocker delivered the kind of performance Thursday night that he needed to keep him in contention for the Texas Rangers‘ season-opening starting rotation. There was a lot of good (eight strikeouts, improved curveball command), but some items that need work (early command, holding runners). The rotation is a mess after injuries to Cody Bradford and Jon Gray. It looks like Jack Leiter will be in with either Rocker or Adrian Houser.
