Evgenii Dadonov and Sidney Crosby each scored hat tricks, but it was the Pittsburgh Penguins who came out on top, beating the Dallas Stars 5-3 on Saturday afternoon at American Airlines Center. The loss snapped Dallas’ seven-game winning streak and 10-game point streak and was the first regulation loss at home since January 21st vs. Carolina. Casey DeSmith was fantastic in goal for Dallas, making 35 saves on 39 shots in his first-ever game against his former team. However, with the game tied at 3-3 late in the third period, it was a defensive turnover on a collision between Thomas Harley and Cody Ceci that led to a 2-on-1 rush and Blake Lizotte scoring the eventual game-winning goal.
