The Dallas Stars were part of NHL history last night, as they were on the receiving end of the Vancouver Canucks breaking the record for the latest 3-goal comeback in a regular season game. The Stars had a 5-2 lead with 2:21 remaining in regulation, but the Canucks didn’t start their rally until the final minute, where they scored three times and then won the game in overtime. Now Dallas has to move on, learn from their mistakes and try to regroup for a massive game on Thursday night against the first place Winnipeg Jets. While the Stars still have a chance to catch the Jets for the Central Division title, the more important thing for the team is to get their game right before the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs start next week. On today’s DLLS Stars Podcast with Craig Ludwig, Sean Shapiro, Sam Nestler, Owen Newkirk & John Andersen, the guys will discuss some changes needed in the defensive zone coverage and how Jake Oettinger and Casey DeSmith should be utilized over the final four games of the regular season. Plus, Alex Ovechkin broke Wayne Gretzky’s career goals record last weekend, the Dallas chapter of the PHWA (Professional Hockey Writers Association) announced their nominee for the 2025 Masterton Award and some big NHL News & Notes.
