DLLS Texas Rangers Podcast: Power on display as Rangers end road trip with second series win

Six home runs, 16 hits and 16 runs. Those were the numbers produced Thursday by the Texas Rangers in a 16-4 victory over the Twins, a W that secured a second straight series win on the road. Josh Smith homered on the game’s second pitch, and Jake Burger, Wyatt Langford, Evan Carter, Adolis Garcia and Sam Haggerty all went deep as the Rangers tallied 16 runs for the second time in three games. The offense appears to be coming around. Patrick Corbin escaped a bases-loaded, no-outs jam in the second inning to begin a stretch of 12 straight batters retired. He was lifted in the sixth inning, and infielder Ezequiel Duran was used in the ninth inning for the final three outs. He got them on seven pitches. Now, the Rangers return home for a must-win series against the White Sox.
