DLLS Stars Podcast: Are The Blackhawks Wasting Connor Bedard With A Slow Rebuild?

We are getting closer to the end of our summer series “The Other 31” as today will be our 27th NHL team, the Chicago Blackhawks, with special guest Mark Lazerus, senior NHL writer for The Athletic. The Blackhawks had a dynasty in the 2010s, winning three Stanley Cups (2010, 2013, 2015), but since their third title in 2015, Chicago has not won a best-of-seven playoff round and has missed the post season in seven of the last eight years (with the exception being the 2020 expanded Covid playoffs). They are in full rebuild mode and have failed to surpass the 70-point mark in each of the last five seasons. We will talk with Mark about all things Blackhawks, but as one of The Athletic’s senior NHL writers, he’s also been covering the Dallas Stars deep playoff runs, so there will be plenty of up-close perspectives on the Stars.
