ALLCITY NFL Power Rankings: Yes, the Kansas City Chiefs are among the teams desperate for a win

There are a handful of teams already feeling desperate for a win going into Week 3. B

ut who would have thought the Kansas City Chiefs would be among them?

It’s not quite panic time for the Chiefs, but it might be for teams like the Bears, Dolphins and Texans. Here are thoughts on every team as we look at Week’s 3 ALLCITY NFL Power Rankings.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (Last Week: 1) – It might not always be pretty offensively, but you can’t minimize going on the road to Arrowhead and leaving with a win.
  1. Buffalo Bills (2) – With the Dolphins, Saints and Patriots on deck, there’s no reason this team shouldn’t start 5-0.
  1. Baltimore Ravens (4) – I’m really curious to see what this defense is able to do against the Lions, which put up 52 points on the Bears last week.
  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5) – The Bucs are going to have to weather the storm after losing offensive guard Cody Mauch for the season and right tackle Luke Goedeke for the time being. Tristan Wirfs needs to get back fast.
  1.  Los Angeles Chargers (7) – This team will be able to survive without Khalil Mack for a while. Just need him back healthy for later in the season.
  1.  Green Bay Packers (10) – Tucker Kraft, who suddenly looks like one of the best tight ends in the league, now has a knee issue he is dealing with. That’s a big one to monitor.
  1.  Kansas City Chiefs (3) – The Chiefs will probably be fine, but they won’t be running away with the AFC West this year.
  1.   Detroit Lions (11) – The Lions got their “get-right” game against the Bears, but now we’ll get to see how right they actually are in Baltimore.
  1.  Los Angeles Rams (9) – The Davante Adams-Puka Nacua pairing looks like it will be pretty dangerous as long as Matthew Stafford stays healthy.
  1.   Cincinnati Bengals (6) – So this year the Bengals avoid a bad start in the loss column, but lose Joe Burrow instead. Brutal.
  1.  Minnesota Vikings (8) – If J.J. McCarthy (high ankle sprain) doesn’t return until after the Vikings’ Week 6 bye, he’ll be returning against the Eagles’ defense in Week 7. Not ideal.
  1. San Francisco 49ers (12) – They need Brock Purdy back for a big game against the Cardinals on Sunday.
  1. Arizona Cardinals (13) – It wouldn’t surprise me if the Cardinals have a fourth quarter lead against the 49ers Sunday, but can Kyler Murray resist a catastrophic turnover.
  1.   Denver Broncos (13) – The Broncos should be 2-0 and can’t let the “leverage” disaster in Indianapolis beat them twice.
  1. Seattle Seahawks (20) – Opening up against the 49ers and on the road at Pittsburgh wasn’t easy. A 1-1 record is completely acceptable.
  1. Washington Commanders (16) – Jayden Daniels dealing with a knee injury already is not a good sign for a team that desperately needs his durability to hold up.
  1. Indianapolis Colts (22) – The Colts have the third highest EPA/play on offense through two weeks. Daniel Jones is their quarterback.
  1.  Houston Texans (15) – Shoutout to the Texans’ punt block/return team, which should have won them that game against the Bucs Monday night.
  1.   Pittsburgh Steelers (17) – The question was about whether or not Aaron Rodgers would be a problem, not whether or not the defense would be a problem.
  1. Atlanta Falcons (26) – The Falcons finally have a reliable pass rush? It can’t be true.
  1.   Las Vegas Raiders (18) – Smart move to send advance scout Tom Brady on the road to Chicago to get ahead on their Week 4 opponent.
  1.   Jacksonville Jaguars (21) – This offense needs more from Brian Thomas Jr., who is dealing with a wrist injury.
  1.  New England Patriots (24) – Based on how the Steelers’ defense has looked so far, Drake Maye might be in for a big day Sunday.
  1.  Chicago Bears (19) – Ben Johnson called out his team’s practice habits this week. Now we’ll see how his team responds in a must-win against the Cowboys.
  1. Dallas Cowboys (25) – Javonte Williams is the No. 1 EPA running back through two weeks. Who saw that coming?
  1.   New York Jets (23) – It’s looking like Aaron Glenn will have to wait another week for his first win, as the Jets head to Tampa without Justin Fields.
  1.  Tennessee Titans (27) – I still don’t understand how wide receiver Elic Ayomanor fell to the third round.
  1.   New York Giants (28) – Holy penalties. Including the opening kickoff, the Giants had six penalties on their first drive and James Hudson had four of them!
  1.   Carolina Panthers (30) – Keeping feeding rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who has 19 targets in two games.
  1.  New Orleans Saints (31) – It doesn’t get any easier for the Saints, which travel to Seattle and Buffalo the next two weeks.
  1.  Cleveland Browns (29) – A cover (+7.5) would be considered a win against the Packers this week.
  1.   Miami Dolphins (32) –  It could get ugly in Buffalo. Will Mike McDaniel survive another week?
