The Texas Rangers‘ eighth straight loss Tuesday night struck a nerve with manager Bruce Bochy. He didn’t see enough focus, and said so after the dispirited loss to the Twins. The emphasis for the final five games becomes playing like a professional — playing hard, picking up teammates and trying to win ballgames. The Rangers will have their best chance tonight as Jacob deGrom takes the mound for his 30th and final start of the season. Thirty was a number he threw out in January, and there’s a very strong likelihood he’ll pitch until he gets his ERA back under 3.00.
