DLLS Texas Rangers Podcast: Goals still ahead for Rangers even if postseason isn’t one

The Texas Rangers have only a minute chance to reach the postseason, so minute that it’s almost impossible. So what do they have left to accomplish this season? The No. 1 thing manager Bruce Bochy wants to see is the team play hard. That sounds like it would be easy to do, but some players might lose focus or be stuck in the doldrums. That can’t happen. Jacob deGrom is going to get one last start, No. 30 on the season, so that’s fun. The Rangers might end up shutting down Corey Seager and Marcus Semien. The young players who are on the roster have plenty to play for, like a big-league job to open the 2026 season. And then there’s finishing above .500. The Rangers need to go 3-3 in their final week of games to finish 82-80.
