ALLCITY NFL Power Rankings: Reports of the Chiefs’ demise may have been greatly exaggerated

The Kansas City Chiefs have re-entered the ALLCITY NFL Power Rankings chat after a big win over the Ravens, while the Philadelphia Eagles keep torturing the league with their less-than-impressive wins.

As we head into Week 5, here are thoughts on all 32 teams:

1. Philadelphia Eagles (Last Week: 1) (4-0) – The Eagles just ran through three likely playoff teams, but 200 totals and zero second-half completions is not sustainable.

2. Buffalo Bills (2) (4-0) – The Bills have now won 14 straight home games and are somehow already playing their fourth home game of the season on Sunday against the Patriots.

3. Detroit Lions (3) (3-1) – The Lions can beat you in many different ways and Kalif Raymond’s 65-yard punt return touchdown against the Browns was big.

4. Los Angeles Rams (9) (3-1) – The weapons showed up big in the fourth quarter when the Rams needed a rally over the Colts.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4) (3-1) – The Bucs will be fine. A lot went wrong against the Eagles and they still almost came back to win.

6. Kansas City Chiefs (10) (2-2) – Xavier Worthy appears capable of unlocking the offense.

7. Los Angeles Chargers (5) (3-1) – Bad loss, but more importantly, Quentin Johnston has finally arrived at wide receiver and Omarion Hampton looks good at running back.

8. Baltimore Ravens (6) (1-3) – I’m not going to give up on the Ravens, but the defense is legitimately bad and the idea of losing Lamar Jackson for a week or two when you’re already 1-3 is scary.

9. Green Bay Packers (7) (2-1-1) – The Packers are starting to look more like the team I thought they were before the season began: average.

10. Seattle Seahawks (12) (3-1) – Good divisional road win for the Seahawks against a surprisingly desperate Cardinals team.

11. Minnesota Vikings (8) (2-2) – I like this roster, but it’s fair to wonder if the Vikings will have enough firepower from the quarterback position this season.

12. San Francisco 49ers (11) (3-1) – I don’t mean to hit the panic button on Brock Purdy, but now that he’s been paid, it’s going to be hard for the 49ers to realistically compete for Super Bowls if he doesn’t play better – turf toe or not.

13. Indianapolis Colts (13) (3-1) – Rough day for Adonai Mitchell, who fumbled what would have been his first career touchdown through the back of the end zone and then committed a holding penalty on a long Jonathan Taylor touchdown.

14. Denver Broncos (17) (2-2) – Good bounceback for Bo Nix in a must-win spot for the Broncos. And the all-navy unis looked good on Monday Night Football.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers (18) (3-1) – It’s still hard for me to buy into this team, but Mike Tomlin sure looks like he’s headed towards another winning season.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars (20) (3-1) – Devin Lloyd playing well for this team is a huge development.

17. Arizona Cardinals (14) (2-2) – Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. simply aren’t doing enough to win. And now they have a significant depth problem at running back.

18. Washington Commanders (15) (2-2) – SumerSports’ Total EPA: Marcus Mariota 10.24, Jayden Daniels -6.79.

19. Chicago Bears (19) (2-2) – Cornerback Josh Blackwell earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the game-winning field goal block, but it was actually Bears long snapper Scott Daly who identified the slight movement in Raiders long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer snaps, allowing Blackwell to get a great jump.

20. Houston Texans (21) (1-3) – Least impressive 26-0 shutout ever? At least Woody Marks is providing a spark.

21. Atlanta Falcons (23) (2-2) – The Falcons have alternated between good and bad every other week, so they’re probably lucky to have a bye this week.

22. New England Patriots (25) (2-2) – Drake Maye is quietly off to a pretty good start this season, and he has a big opportunity to shine Sunday night in Buffalo.

23. Cincinnati Bengals (16) (2-2) – The Joe Burrow-less Bengals are… just not good.

24. Dallas Cowboys (27) (1-2-1) – Dak Prescott might just keep this Cowboys team relevant this season.

25. New York Giants (28) (1-3) – Man, we were so close to a big boy touchdown with Dexter Lawrence nearly getting to the end zone on a pick-six!

26. Cleveland Browns (22) (1-3) – Kevin Stefanski had to make a quarterback switch after Joe Flacco’s turnovers gave them no chance to win.

27. Las Vegas Raiders (24) (1-3) – Maxx Crosby delivered the best defensive performance I’ve seen in person since Khalil Mack dominated the Packers at Lambeau Field in 2018. The problem? Both players lost those games.

28. Miami Dolphins (31) (1-3) – The Dolphins have shown more fight in their last two games, but Sunday’s game in Carolina is a must-win for Mike McDaniel.

29. New York Jets (26) (0-4) – Aaron Glenn isn’t happy with his team right now and it will be interesting to see how they respond to his challenge with a winnable game against the Cowboys on deck.

30. Carolina Panthers (29) (1-3) – Bryce Young simply hasn’t been able to carry over the glimpses of hope from last season.

31. New Orleans Saints (32) (0-3-1) – The Saints had a legitimate shot to win in Buffalo, so that’s enough to move them ahead of the Titans.

32. Tennessee Titans (30) (0-4) – A rookie quarterback with a head coach on the hot seat. We know how this ends.
