Only a week ago, the Texas Rangers were entering their final series of the 2025 season. Bruce Bochy was still their manager. Less than a week later, the season is over and so is the Bochy Era. The reason? The offense, and the Rangers need to fix it this offseason as soon as they hire a manager. Those were the two key topics Friday during the season-closing press conference with president of baseball operations Chris Young and general manager Ross Fenstermaker. Skip Schumaker is the strong favorite to replace Bochy, and the Rangers haven’t interviewed any external candidates. As for the offense, changes are coming, with Young not trying to hide from the poor seasons of Joc Pederson, Adolis Garcia and Jonah Heim.
