Flash back to after Week 3.

Questions lingered about how this Dallas Cowboys offense would handle life without CeeDee Lamb, rookie guard Tyler Booker, and after Week 4 KaVontae Turpin.

A 31-14 loss to the Bears that week, combined with mounting injuries and defensive struggles, left many wondering if Dak Prescott and the offense could keep things afloat.

Four weeks later, those questions never needed any answering, but instead just results. Dallas ranks No. 1 in total offense, second in passing, and third in scoring. Even through a 1-1-1 stretch, the unit proved it could sustain a high level of play despite missing key pieces.

Week 7, however, sent a louder message, with everyone back, the sky’s truly the limit.

Dallas rolled past its longtime rival Washington Commanders, 44-22, in a performance that showed just how dynamic this offense can be when healthy.

Prescott remained mistake-free, throwing for 1,081 yards, 13 touchdowns, and zero interceptions over the last four games. Running back Javontae Williams bounced back from a 29-yard outing in Week 6 to rush for 116 yards and a touchdown.

CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens looked as dangerous as ever, combining for 192 yards and a score, with Lamb posting 110 yards and the touchdown in his return. Tight end Jake Ferguson continued his scoring stretch, hauling in two touchdowns to bring his total to six, five of them coming in the red zone.

The Cowboys’ offense finished with 409 total yards, converted 50% of third downs, picked up 21 first downs, and controlled possession for over 31 minutes, and the best part was they put on a show on an Alumni Day where several franchise legends were in attendance to witness the performance.

The road ahead will get tougher, but this unit’s ceiling continues to rise.

Prescott is playing arguably the best football of his career, and unlike 2023, he’s doing it without a dominant defense constantly bailing him out.

Even as the defense showed improvement Sunday with four sacks and two takeaways (including a DaRon Bland pick-six), Prescott has consistently shouldered the pressure created by a leaky unit on the other side of the ball.

And he’s answered every time.

With Lamb, Pickens, Williams, and Ferguson clicking, this Cowboys’ offense has evolved into a group capable of matching, or outpacing, any opponent on the schedule.

If health holds, Dallas may not just be finding rhythm… it may be finding greatness.
