Ask most people who follow baseball, and they will say that Game 6 of the 2011 World Series between the Rangers and Cardinals was the best on Oct. 27 in baseball history. They won’t be saying that any longer after the Game 3 classic of the 2025 World Series. The Dodgers outlasted the Blue Jays, 6-5, in 18 innings. The game lasted longer than six hours, and more than 609 pitches were thrown. The last resulted in a Freddie Freeman walk-off homer. Game 4 is tonight, and both teams might lean on their starting pitchers with the bullpens worn thin. The Dodgers are starting Shohei Ohtani, who reached base nine times in Game 3.
