Casey DeSmith was hands down the first star of the game, as he stopped 30-of-31 shots to lead the Dallas Stars to a 2-1 win over the Seattle Kraken on Sunday night at American Airlines Center. After conceding an early goal by Jaden Schwartz, DeSmith slammed the door shut on the Kraken offense. Wyatt Johnston scored a power play goal for his 10th goal of the season and Tyler Seguin’s late first period goal would turn out to be the game-winner, as Seattle’s Matt Murray turned in a sharp performance in net for the Kraken.
