The Dallas Stars started the season with a record of 25-7-5 in their first 37 games, the second-best record in the National Hockey League up to that point. Then they hit their first real slump, winning just two of their next 12 games (2-6-4). Last week they got back to winning ways with a dominant win over the Boston Bruins and they are 3-1-0 in the last four games. So, is their slump over or was this just a blip of success against some mediocre opponents (two wins over St. Louis)? We will also discuss the recent rumor that New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin would consider being a rental in Dallas. Patrick Kane ties Stars legend Mike Modano in career NHL points by an American-born skater, so we have to talk about that.
