The Dallas Stars coughed up a 2-0 lead in the third period, but mustered up a dramatic overtime winning goal from Thomas Harley to beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 and tie the franchise record point streak (15 games). The Stars utterly dominated the first 40 minutes and opened up a 2-0 lead on goals by Wyatt Johnston and Michael Bunting, which was his first goal as a Stars. The Red Wings rallied with two third period goals from Simon Edvinsson and Lucas Raymond to force bonus hockey. The Stars have not lost a game in regulation since January 22nd at Columbus and their current 15-game point streak (14-0-1) ties the record set by the 1998-99 team that went on to capture the 1999 Stanley Cup.
