P.J. Washington has struggled over the last two months, but Dallas Mavericks coach Jason Kidd might have found a solution.
The former Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball forward started the game at center. Washington is listed at only 6-foot-7, but he made up for it with foot speed. He was also going against former NBA Defensive Player of the Year Evan Mobley.
But his ability to grab offensive rebounds, switch onto smaller players and spread the court was immensely valuable for Dallas.
Washington had 20 points, 11 rebounds and a team-high five steals in the Mavericks’ 130-120 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
