The Dallas Stars had a horrendous first period, rallied in the final 40 minutes, but came up short in a 6-4 loss to the New Jersey Devils tonight at American Airlines Center. New Jersey scored four times on nine shots in the opening frame to race out to a 4-1 lead. Wyatt Johnston scored two goals, including his 40th of the season, and Jason Robertson notched his 39th goal of the year to cut the deficit to 4-3 after two periods. Timo Meier and Mavrik Bourque traded goals in the third period before Dougie Hamilton capped off the scoring with a late empty net goal.
