The Texas Rangers’ season hit a new low Monday night. They were no-hit by the rival Houston Astros, who used three pitchers for the sixth no-no against the Rangers in club history. Tatsuya Imai started the game with two walks but fixed things quickly. The Rangers didn’t strike out much, but they also didn’t have much hard contact. The question again is how do they fix the offense. Manager Skip Schumaker talked about messaging and game planning. Brandon Nimmo talked about execution. Sounds like a lot of work with less than a full arsenal of players to do it.
