During a season in which a two-game winning streak looks good, the Texas Rangers were looking good entering their game Tuesday in Chicago. They were in first place in the American League West, had won the first game of the series and had Jacob deGrom on the mound.

The Brewers have the best record in MLB with a much lower payroll than the Rangers. Their fundamentals are leagues better. Our highest paid players are older and having a blah season. Perhaps we need an adjustment in our thinking.
