The Dallas Stars announced this morning that they have signed 28-year-old forward Sam Steel to a four-year contract extension, worth $14.8 million ($3.7M AAV). A first round pick of the Anaheim Ducks in 2016, Steel joined the Stars in the summer of 2023 as a UFA after not receiving a qualifying offer from the Minnesota Wild. His first two seasons in Dallas were on one-year deals, before signing a two-year extension ahead of the 2025-26 season and now this new contract will kick in for the 2027-28 season and keep him in Dallas through the 2030-31 campaign.
