This morning the Dallas Stars signed goaltender Casey DeSmith to a two-year contract extension worth $5 million ($2.5 million AAV). DeSmith, who was poised to become a UFA after the 2026-27 season, is now under contract through the 2028-29 season. On today’s DLLS Stars Podcast, we will talk about what this means for the Stars over the next three seasons AND we will talk to Casey DeSmith himself, as he joins us for a segment. Then Producer Ryan will put the guys through some paces that even they don’t know what will be asked and the NHL regular season commenced last night, so we’ll talk about the games and all the NHL News & Notes we can fit into the show.
