Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg was driving down the court when he spun off a Thunder defender and threw a no-look pass to an open Caleb Martin in the corner.
The veteran wing knocked down the shot and pointed toward the Oklahoma City Thunder bench.
Flagg finished with 26 points, eight assists and five rebounds in a 120-96 win against the Thunder at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday.
“His ability to just get in the paint, and they were bringing the double from the weak side, and he’s able to navigate that,” Mavericks coach Dusty May said. “Several shots I thought looked great that just didn’t drop.”
Flagg was aided by Kyrie Irving, who made his home debut after not playing at the AAC in over 600 days.
In the third quarter, Irving was being guarded by Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He drove through contact and shot a floater over the reigning MVP to help the Mavericks extend their lead.
