Joseph Hoyt is a Dallas Cowboys beat reporter for DLLS. He started his professional career as an intern at The Dallas Morning News in 2016. He then worked at The Ames Tribune and at KOIN-TV in Portland, Oregon, before he was hired by The Dallas Morning News as a high school sports reporter. He was later promoted to college sports beat reporter where he focused on SMU. He also covered the Dallas Stars, the Texas Rangers, and even helped out on breaking news during 2020. He spent nearly five years at The Dallas Morning News. His work has been recognized with APSE honors, two second place finishes for sports reporting in The Headliner Awards, and a gold medal in the Best of the West journalism competition. Joseph is entering his second season covering the Cowboys. Joseph is a native of San Bruno, California, and a 2016 graduate from the University of Oregon.
