Veteran edge rusher Von Miller, who grew up in DeSoto, has long expressed interest in playing for his hometown Dallas Cowboys.
He reiterated that interest in a podcast this week and then posted in his Instagram Stories on Wednesday an image of himself in a Cowboys uniform.
It resulted in rampant speculation about Miller possibly realizing his childhood dream heading into the 2026 season.
But it was all about nothing.
Per sources, the Cowboys, who report to training camp in two weeks, have no interest in adding Miller to the roster.
They haven’t even discussed it.
The Cowboys are content for now with their current stable of pass rushers, led by veteran Rashad Gary, 2025 second0round pick Donovan Ezeiruaku and 2026 first-round pick Malachi Lawrence.
Miller, age 37, recorded 9 sacks as a rotational pass rusher with the Washington Commanders in 2025.
The former 4-time first-team All-Pro four times and eight-time Pro Bowler, remains a free agent.
