Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones admits being nervous and excited about what will transpire in Sunday’s season opener against the New York Giants.

He said there are too many unknowns on the both sides, thanks to the Giants having a new coaching staff led by John Harbaugh and the host of changes the Cowboys made on defense, starting with new defensive coordinator Christian Parker.

“I’m really am curious both about teams,” Jones said just before kickoff Sunday night. “With the coaching change they’ve got they’re unknown for us, and then I think we are. So for these initial plays, things we’re doing out here, this thing will be interesting all the way through.

“So to me the big deal is what do we got? Let’s see tonight to some degree. If we see the what we think we got.”

The Cowboys feel good about Parker and the overhaul of talent on defense.

But this will the first time Jones will see them in action after the starters sat out the preseason.

“We haven’t had it together,” Jones said. “We didn’t do it preseason and we don’t know them. There is a lot to see here.”

Jones said will take a win anyway he get it.

“I’m looking for a 1 point win here tonight. Really, that’s a big thing. Let’s get out of here with a win. We’ll take that, and then we’ll see how they played, but get us a win here.”
