There was a blockbuster trade in the NHL on Sunday, as the Ottawa Senators traded captain Brady Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers, and older brother Matthew Tkachuk, in exchange for three first round draft picks (two in 2026, one [conditional] in 2029) and a 2027 second round pick. Rumors then started swirling that with a gaping hole on their top line, and lots of newly acquired draft capital, that Ottawa is planning on making a hard push to trade for Dallas Stars pending restricted free agent Jason Robertson. And if that effort is unsuccessful, then the Senators might attempt to sign Robertson to a massive offer-sheet contract. So, let’s dive into the latest news and talk, once more, about Jason Robertson. Plus, a whole bunch of other NHL signings and trades happened over the weekend, involving Darren Raddysh, Jason Dickinson, Bobby McMann, Mackie Samoskevich and Nicolas Deslauriers, which happened during the Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup championship parade.
