In a contest billed as the biggest regular season game of the year for both teams, the Winnipeg Jets looked very much the part of the NHL’s top team in the standings as they blanked the Dallas Stars 4-0 on Thursday night at American Airlines Center. Connor Hellebuyck stopped all 24 shots he faced to record his league-leading eighth shutout of 2024-25, his first-career shutout against Dallas and the first time the Stars have been shutout this year. Kyle Connor scored twice in the third period, while goals by Nino Niederreiter and Morgan Barron in the first two periods rounded out the scoring. With the victory, Winnipeg moves six points ahead of Dallas for the Central Division lead and both teams have three games remaining.
