The Dallas Stars finished in second place in the Central Division AND second overall in the Western Conference. The Colorado Avalanche, the President’s Trophy winner, finished first and the Minnesota Wild had the third best record, However, they all seem to be suffering the same playoff fate – injuries to key players stalling an otherwise promising Stanley Cup campaign. The Stars crashed out in the first round to the Wild, Minnesota were summarily dispatched by the Avalanche in the second round and now Colorado is down 3-0 in the Western Conference Final to the Vegas Golden Knights. Today, we’ll be joined by Jess Myers, Wild beat writer for the St. Paul Pioneer Press and we will discuss this trend, as well as doing a general post mortem on the Minnesota Wild. Additionally, we will talk about Thomas Harley’s disappointing season and we’ll look at the current state of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
