Today, the NHL Olympic Break is officially underway, as the last pre-break NHL games were played last night. Since there are no NHL games until February 25th, we thought this would be a perfect time to revisit our preseason picks for the 2025-26 season, which teams would win each Division, the Conference Playoff winners, the Stanley Cup champion and the individual NHL Awards. With about one-third of the regular season left to be played, how good or how bad do our picks look? Plus, we discuss the Artemi Panarin trade from the New York Rangers to the Los Angeles Kings and we’ll dive into the NHL News & Notes of the Day: Jake Oettinger joins Zach Werenski, Charlie McAvoy and Jeremy Swayman in Milan to walk with the United States Olympic Team during the Opening Ceremony, Gavin McKenna’s arrest, Caleb Jones suspended for PEDs, Calgary’s Jonathan Huberdeau to have hip surgery and miss the rest of the season and more.
