The Dallas Stars are on a four-game winning streak and have earned points in 11 of their last 12 games, posting a record of 8-1-3 (19 pts., 0.792) in that span. That has vaulted them up to a tie for the second-most points in the NHL as of this morning – only the Colorado Avalanche have more points (29) than the Stars (25). They demolished the Montréal Canadiens last night 7-0 at Bell Centre, the first time in 18 games this season that Dallas has not had a close, nervy, dramatic finish. On today’s show, we ask the question: are the Stars truly satisfied with the way they are playing? Plus, Sean wrote a new article for our website (alldlls.com) where he did a quick redraft of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, examining if Wyatt Johnston realistically could have been the first overall selection (in hindsight). Sam & Owen attended the SMU Athletic Forum Luncheon with featured guest speaker Mike Eruzione, the captain of the legendary gold medal-winning 1980 U.S. Men’s Olympic hockey team and we compare and contrast the efforts for USA Hockey and Hockey Canada as they work to build their rosters for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
