The Dallas Stars traded a 2026 3rd round draft pick at the deadline to acquire forward Michael Bunting from the Nashville Predators. Bunting played in 13 regular season games for the Stars, scoring one goal and adding one assist, while averaging 12:48 of ice time. He suffered a groin injury late in the season and only appeared in one playoff game (Game 6 at Minnesota). He’s a pending UFA with a cap hit of $4.5M on his expiring contract. So, today’s question: what would you be willing to do to make room for Bunting next season? Also on today’s show: the Colorado Avalanche were swept in the Western Conference Final by the Vegas Golden Knights, the NHL’s coaching carousel keeps spinning along and Evgeni Malkin is coming back for his 21st NHL season with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
