The Dallas Stars snapped a season-long six-game winless streak (0-3-3) last night with a 4-1 win over the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena. It was the team’s first victory of the 2026 calendar year and their first triumph since December 21 vs. Toronto. Since Sean wasn’t on the Pregame & Postgame Shows, we will give him a chance to share his “Two Cents” about last night’s game, plus look at Roope Hintz’s Dallas Stars single game team record he set last night. Then we’ll take a look at where the Stars measure up against the rest of the NHL in some key statistical categories mid-season, we’ll discuss an NHL.com project where 16 writers for the website voted on major NHL awards at the halfway point. Then, we give a report on Stars prospect Emil Hemming, 2024 1st round draft pick, whose Team Finland lost to Canada in the bronze medal game.
