Right-hander Jacob deGrom hasn’t pitched in New York since he left the Mets via free agency after the 2022 campaign and signed with the Texas Rangers. That changes Wednesday, when deGrom faces the Yankees in the second game of a three-game series at Yankee Stadium. He has been terrific in May after nailing down his mechanics, but he will still face a tough task of slowing the Yankees’ offense. The Yankees slowed the Rangers’ offense Tuesday in the series opener, and the key moment of the game came in the sixth as Adolis Garcia and Marcus Semien came up empty with the bases loaded. What options, if any, do the Rangers have with their struggling hitters? Not many.
