The Dallas Cowboys fell to the Arizona Cardinals at home 27-17 on Monday Night Football, dropping their record to 3-5-1.
A loss like this just completely feels like it has canceled any hope this team had for the remainder of the season.
Dallas will head into its bye for Week 10, then travel West for a second straight Monday night game as they visit the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Cardinals continue to have the Cowboys’ number, now winners of four straight over Dallas and eight of their last nine.
Make it two times as well in the last three years in which the Cowboys have lost to the Cardinals without Kyler Murray playing.
The veteran quarterback missed his third straight game with a foot injury and in his place once again was Jacoby Brissett.
Dallas’ defense needs more than just one player to fix up the unit. Despite recording five sacks, the defense allowed 23 first downs, 341 yards of offense, and 7-of-12 on third down conversions.
The dominant Cowboys’ offense was held to 17 points, a season low at home.
Quarterback Dak Prescott was sacked five times. They turned the ball over three times, twice in Arizona territory and were held to 0-3 on fourth down conversions.

It was simply a tale of two halves last night for the Dallas Cowboys.
In the end, it was too little too late, and now there is no saving the 2025.
The Cowboys defense has been on a historically inept run all season and couldn’t get a stop in the first half, despite the Arizona Cardinals playing with backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
The poor play proved to be contagious as a Cowboys offense that was once one of the best in the league caught a case of the doldrums.
The Cowboys trailed 17-7 at halftime and 24-7 in the third quarter, causing fans to rain down boos at AT&T Stadium on the home team.
Jerry Jones has promised a trade by Tuesday’s deadline but that will not cure what’s ails a Cowboys team heading into the bye with 3-5-1 mark and on a two-game losing streak.
Cornerback DaRon Bland, who signed a four-year, $92 million deal before the season, got beat like a drum by Cardinals receiver Marvin Harrison.
Tight end Jake Ferguson, who signed a four-year, $52 million contract before the season, had a fumble that killed a first-half scoring opportunity.
Jerry Jones didn’t want to pay Micah Parsons and traded him away to the Packers. The guys he paid let him down.
What will a trade do but cost the Cowboys more draft picks that could potentially help the team in the future.
