The Memphis Grizzlies had lost their previous four games, but they found the right matchup against the struggling Dallas Mavericks.
Memphis beat Dallas 118-104 on Friday night.
Ja Morant scored six points with three assists during a 22-8 run in the first quarter that put the Mavericks in an early hole. Morant entered the game shooting just 38.3% from the field, but he finished with 21 points and 13 assists.
The Grizzlies had seven players in double figures.
Cooper Flagg added 12 points and six assists. Max Christie scored a team-high 18 points, and P.J. Washington had 14.
The Mavericks will look to snap their four-game losing streak when they face the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
