The Dallas Mavericks needed a comeback to end their four-game losing streak.
Enter the Washington Wizards, who were tied for the worst record in the NBA entering the night.
Washington led by four points entering the fourth quarter, but late plays from P.J. Washington and Naji Marshall helped the Mavericks rally for a 111–105 win.
Marshall scored 8 of his 30 points in the final quarter, attacking the rim as Dallas finished with 66 points in the paint. It was the fifth 25-point game of his career.
Washington, who had been quiet through three quarters, also found his rhythm late. He scored 8 of his 14 points in the fourth.
Dallas shot 42 of 93 (45 percent) from the field but made only six 3-pointers.
The Mavericks return home to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.
