Typically, when a Dallas Mavericks season ends, I’ll conduct an exit survey for fans to weigh in on the season that was. I’m still doing that, but this year’s is slightly different due to an unusual in-season fan survey conducted about a month after the Luka Dončić trade, which has results that can be found here. That survey covered much of the fan reaction and emotion stemming from what remains the largest sports story in recent memory. Many fans, as extensively covered at DLLS, have struggled to regain that same level of passion and interest in its wake.
Still, last season happened, next season will, too, and there’s an offseason looming that will set it all up. The bulk of this survey consists of grades for the team’s players this season, which I limited to players who appeared for at least 800 minutes. The one exception, Anthony Davis, felt too massive to not list even if it’s mildly unfair to put him there without an incomplete grade. (The same goes for Dereck Lively II, but he cleared the minutes limit that I chose.) So rank them as you see fit, answer some various other questions, and feel free to expand if desired in a select few number of short answers that are not required.
Here’s the link to the survey.
