After an offensive rebound by Mavs center Moussa Cissé, Naji Marshall dashed toward the rim and used an up-and-under move to finish a dynamic layup at the end of the second quarter.
The dazzling play drew screeches throughout the American Airlines Center as the Dallas Mavericks built a 20-point cushion heading into halftime.
It marked the seventh consecutive game Marshall has scored in double figures this season. His steady production has been critical as Dallas continues to battle injuries. The Mavericks were without Cooper Flagg, P.J. Washington, Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford, Kyrie Irving and several others against the Utah Jazz on Thursday night.Still, against a mostly healthy Jazz team, Marshall finished with 22 points, six rebounds and four assists, helping lead Dallas to a 144-122 victory over Utah.
