Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Beat Writer with an emphasis on the Dallas Mavericks at DLLS. The role is on-site and located in Dallas, TX. The Beat Writer will be responsible for writing daily articles and coverage of the Dallas Mavericks and appearing on the DLLS Mavs Podcast five days per week. Candidate will generating engaging content about the Dallas Mavericks, both in written and video form. Candidate will be part of our daily DLLS Mavericks podcast and will need to be available on game nights for our pre- and postgame show live streams. Position could require candidate to travel from time-to-time as assigned by the company. On the DLLS Mavs Podcast you will work alongside Marc Stein, Kevin Gray Jr., and Bobby Karalla in addition to national NBA personalities and colleagues including Tim Legler, Tim Cato, and more across the ALLCITY Network.

Qualifications

-Significant experience in content creation, writing, and podcasting. On-camera experience is a huge bonus
-Knowledge of content strategy development and research techniques
-Strong news judgment and the ability to build and develop sourcing to pursue news and feature stories for alldlls.com
-Strong skills in proofreading and editing
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work on-site in Dallas, TX
-Passion for covering the Dallas Mavericks and deep knowledge of the NBA
-Passion for the Dallas sports community and connecting with readers, viewers, and fans
-Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field

Pay: $75,000-80,000
