The Texas Rangers are ready to head to spring training with the bullpen they have assembled this offseason, with the latest piece coming Monday. That was Chris Martin, and he might end up as the closer after general manager Ross Fenstermaker said that closer is not a priority the rest of the offseason. If the right deal comes along, like for Kirby Yates, the Rangers would listen. The right deal almost certainly refers to the luxury tax, which the Rangers are closing in on and don’t want to surpass.
