At long last. It’s time.

We have been waiting for this for so long.

My previous viewing experience looked like this:

1. Wait until an hour after the game ended (at least) so I could watch it on MLB.TV. Very late.

2. Stay away from all news outlets. My phone. Twitter. Any texts from my brother-in-laws or fantasy baseball group texts until I could watch the Rangers game the next day. This is the only way my kids could watch. My Rangers world was disconnected, stressful, and forever behind. I would talk to family on delay and by the time I found out the results, they were old hat and there was something else to talk about that I was shut off from. I would often accidentally see some stupid notification that would blow everything. And every time I logged into the MLB.TV app (even though I had spoilers turned off) I would have to squint through my eyelashes to navigate the app because they would have pictures and articles recapping the previous game that would clearly connote results and major events. My eyelashes could not always filter this.

Maybe I should have applied mascara. Volumizing. (NOW you think of it?!)

Thank you, Rangers. I’m a die-hard (more ways than one!). I made huge efforts. I can’t imagine any casual fan was doing anything like this. Long overdue.

Thanks, Jeff!

“Wait until an hour after the game ended (at least) so I could watch it on MLB.TV. Very late.”

One other thing about that. When you watch it on the replay, and it’s a dramatic game, you can usually tell what’s happening by how much is left on the slider when playing. If you’re losing and there’s like 2 mins left in bottom of 9th on the slider, you’re know you’re not coming back. If we did come back it would take more time, plus there’d been a little longer before sign-off.

Also wish this was a free/public post. AFAIK, this was the first post with any real details as to what is going on. Would love to share it without having to bypass your paywall to do wo. Would love to share it with my Rangers FB group.

“to do so”.

Clarification: I’m not bypassing your paywall and posting the entire text of the article, but I’ve found sharing paywalled posts to my group tends to irritate my members – “I don’t want to have to pay to read that”.
