Mavrik Bourque recorded his first career NHL hat trick and his first career four-point game (3 goals, 1 assist), as the Dallas Stars rallied from 3-0 and 5-3 deficits to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-5 on Monday night at Scotiabank Arena. John Tavares, Jacob Quillan and William Nylander all found the net in the opening period as the Maple Leafs raced out to a 3-0 lead. Bourque scored two goals in less than five minutes to begin the second period and then Jason Robertson tied it at 3-3 with his 45th goal of the season. Max Domi and Nicholas Robertson scored early in the third period to give Toronto a 5-3 advantage, only for Wyatt Johnston to score a power play goal (his 45th goal of the season), Arttu Hyry was credited with the tying goal when Leafs defenseman Troy Stecher scored an own goal and then Bourque completed his hat trick with the game-winner with just over five minutes left.
