Casey DeSmith extended his current winning streak to six consecutive starts, stopping 22-of-23 shots to lead the Dallas Stars to a 4-1 road victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night at Rogers Arena. Mikael Granlund scored his first goal since being traded to Dallas, while the Stars also received goals from Thomas Harley, Jason Robertson and Mikko Rantanen – his second in as many games with the team. Matt Duchene and Cody Ceci each posted a pair of assists, while Canucks defenseman Derek Forbort notched the lone goal for Vancouver. The Stars won for the 13th time in the last 16 games and moved within six points of first place Winnipeg, with a game in-hand, in the Central Division standings.
