The Dallas Stars rallied from an early 2-0 deficit and beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday night at Canadian Tire Centre. It was Dallas’ first victory against the Senators in Ottawa since March 6, 2016, snapping an eight-game winless streak (0-6-2) at Canadian Tire Centre. Drake Batherson and Nick Jensen put the Senators up early in the first period, but that would be all that Jake Oettinger would allow in his net. Mikko Rantanen scored on a breakaway in the second period and Jason Robertson tied the game with a power play goal in the third period. Robertson’s goal snapped a nine-game goal drought. Roope Hintz tallied the game-winner in overtime as the Stars improved to 7-1-3 in their last 11 games.
