The Dallas Stars post season hopes took a major setback tonight as they lost Game 5 to the Minnesota Wild 4-2 at American Airlines Center. The Stars never led in the game, but were tied at 1-1 after the first period as Miro Heiskanen’s power play goal canceled out Mats Zuccarello’s early tally. Matt Boldy scored a power play goal late in the second period and then Michael McCarron scored in the third to give the Wild a two-goal lead. Jason Robertson scored for the fifth-straight game in the series, setting a new franchise record, but Kirill Kaprizov added an empty net goal to finish off any hopes of a Stars comeback. Game 6 will be played on Thursday night, April 30th, start time still TBD.
