STARS POSTGAME: Oettinger Shines As Stars Beat Avalanche In Shootout 2-1

Jake Oettinger turned in a sparkling performance on Wednesday night at Ball Arena, stopping 33-of-34 shots faced and then going 3-for-3 in the shootout as the Dallas Stars beat the Colorado Avalanche 2-1. Oettinger extended his personal point streak to 13 games (12-0-1); his last regulation loss came on January 18th vs. Tampa Bay. Cale Makar opened the scoring for the Avalanche on the power play late in the first period, but Jason Robertson answered back with his 37th goal of the season in the 2nd period. After a goalless third period and overtime, Wyatt Johnston scored on Dallas’ third shootout attempt and Oettinger stopped all three shots he faced.
