Jason Robertson scored twice and Jake Oettinger stopped all 22 shots he faced as the Dallas Stars blanked the New York Rangers 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at American Airlines Center. Robertson scored both his 43rd and 44th goals of the season in the third period, both on rebounds from Matt Duchene shots. The game-winner came on the power play at 12:49 and the second was an empty-net goal after Duchene hit the right post. Oettinger records his 4th shutout of the season, his second most shutouts in a single season (5, 2022-23), and the 16th of his NHL career. While the Stars officially clinched home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs in the middle of the third period, when Minnesota lost to Nashville, the victory in the regular season home finale allowed Dallas to punctuate a fantastic regular season, with two road games left on the calendar.
